BuyBrand Expo 2025 confirms the trend: the franchise market is showing growth thanks to international players

The largest franchise exhibition in Russia confirmed the growing interest in the industry, bringing together entrepreneurs from 72 regions and presenting new international brands.
MOSCOW – October 1-3, 2025 – The 23rd International Franchise Exhibition and Forum BuyBrand Expo 2025 has successfully concluded in Moscow. The event demonstrated the dynamic growth of the franchise market, attracted 5,086 visitors and brought together 164 franchisors from 15 regions of Russia and a number of foreign countries, including Belarus, Saudi Arabia, Vietnam, Turkey and China.


Key figures and audience

The exhibition has confirmed its status as the main industry event. Its audience consisted of current and aspiring entrepreneurs, top managers and investors interested in business diversification. Sberbank Business became the strategic partner of the exhibition.


Business program and iconic speakers

More than 90 experts spoke at the forum sites. Among them:

* Nikita Airapetov, Chief Financial Officer of Burger King;
* Nelly Fortunatova, Head of Analytics and Forecasting at Azbuka Vkusa;
* Igor Stoyanov, founder and President of Persona;
* Tatiana Ovchinnikova, Director of FIT SERVICE.

The discussions focused on franchise development tactics in 2025, network point management, profitable business selection, and effective marketing.


Top franchises and new names

Ekaterina Soyak, CEO of EMTG and founder of Buybrand, presented an updated rating of franchises based on the results of the study for the period from January 2024 to June 2025. The top 5 included Pyaterochka, Sokolov, Colizeum, Another world, and Sovetskaya Apteka.

New players made their debuts at the exhibition, such as ‘SubJoy’ (which replaced Subway), the Russian manufacturer of office chairs ‘Metta’, ‘Aromatniy Mir’ food&wine store chain, ‘Hawaii FitBoxing’ studios, the ‘Rendez-Vouz’ shoe chain, ‘Double Bubble Tea’ café chain and the street food brands ‘Borsch v Pirizshke’, ‘Chicken House’, ", etc..


Wide investment range and international interest

The investment range was widely represented – from 1 to 200 million rubles. The industry coverage included catering (ONE PRICE COFFEE, Il Patio, Carl's Jr., Pancho Pizza, Koala, Secret Kitchen), retail (Magnit, Pyaterochka, Dixie, Ulibka Radugi, modi, MIUZ Diamonds) and the service sector (TopGun, Colizeum, Persona, Spirit Fitness, VR Arena).

Companies from Saudi Arabia, which were looking for a master franchisee in Russia for the first time, aroused particular interest.: Herfy food services restaurant chain, Black Knight coffee shops, and Reef Perfumes perfume brand.


Private events and future plans

The organizer of the exhibition, EMTG Company, held a traditional business breakfast for the largest franchisors and potential partners. A special guest of the event was renowned economist Evgeny Nadorshin, who shared with the participants his macroeconomic forecast and analysis of the investment climate.

The next BuyBrand Expo is scheduled for autumn 2026.
