International franchise exhibition Buybrand Expo 2024 took place in Moscow
The largest and the most significant franchise show in Russia and CIS gathered over 200 brands and 5578 entrepreneurs.
The largest and the most significant franchise show in Russia and CIS gathered over 200 brands and 110 speakers. Investment capacity of brands varied from $3000 up to $5 million. During three days 5578 entrepreneurs and investors from all over Russia as well as Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, UAE and other countries visited BuyBrand Expo. Total investment potential of visitors amounted $650 million. Faster Payment System (SBP) performed as fin-tech partner of the event.
“This year one of the key topics of the Expo became the development of the domestic tourist infrastructure. Regions begin to attract more and more investments due to the growth of domestic and inbound tourist flows. This was confirmed by forum participants, among which there were representatives of regional administrations, and participants that presented thermal and sauna complexes with investments over $5 million”, - says Ekaterina Soyak, founder of the exhibition.
Business forum has been held during three days in 4 tracks focused on different topics from how to create your own franchise in “Franchisor’s School” to the key points of selecting a franchise and managing it in “Start” business. One of the largest developers in Moscow and Leningrad regions “A101” Group of Companies became a general partner of “Business” & “School of Franchisors” Conference halls while VSK Insurance House performed as a general partner for “Start” business hall.
BuyBrand Expo has become a launch pad for quite a significant number of brands among which there were one of the largest Russian FMCG retailer “Magnit”, delivery service “Yandex.Lavka”, fast-food chain of sausage manufacturer “Dimov Gril-Dog”. New franchise concepts were presented by “Raiton”, “Fit Service”, Rosinter Restaurants, “Cofix”, “Met Tea” and others.
Turkish brands “Pidem” and “Happy Moon’s” participated in BuyBrand Expo for the first time/ “Pidem” is one of the largest chains in Turkey specializing on a traditional dish “pide”; “Happy Moon’s” is an all-day dining restaurant concept, offering Turkish, American and Mexican food. Both brands are looking for a master-franchisor in Russia and CIS.
Master-franchises of foreign brands were also presented by Spanish jewelry brand “UNOde50”, Austrian coffee chain “Coffeeshop Company”,
Restaurant chain “Gagawa” and perfume manufacturer “Sensitive” from Turkey, as well as American fast-food brands “Carl’s Jr.” and “Papa John’s”, etc.
Unusual franchise concepts were presented by PUNKT E – manufacturer of electric car charging stations, Yes Dress – offering dresses for rent and sail; manufacturer of gaming light floors “Pixel Quest”; basketball sport section AIRKIDS from Yalta, manufacturer of thermal panels “Technoarm”, etc.
For the first time of the 22the year’s history of the exhibition, Buybrand was built as a city with streets and central square, offering a cozy and festive atmosphere to our participants and guests.
Next BuyBrand Expo will take place on 1-3 October, 2025.
